River Antoine Distillery

This is a small distillery using traditional methods rather than a large-scale industrial distillery. The guided tour lasts roughly 30 minutes and costs $15US. There's no requirement to book in advance. The tour showed all aspects of the rum-making process and ended wth a tasting of 2 rums (69% and 75% alcohol rums). Both are available to buy in 750ml bottles. The distillery is accessible by public transport. From St George's you'll need to take the bus to Grenville and then get a second bus to La Poterie.

Really enjoyable short tour. You get right up close to the action. Fascinating to see how the run is made. If you’ve never tasted 80% proof rum then you need to go here.

We booked a couple of excursions with Janelle from St James Travel and Tours, the first one was an Island Tour. Andy gave us a wealth of information, we had a full run down of the history of Grenada and every stop we done. We done the Island excursions, this covered Concord Waterfall ⛲️ Chocolate Factory 🍫 Rum Distillery 🥃 Grand Etang 🐒 Nutmeg Museum, a lovely meal and drink. The excursions cost £125pp. The mini bus was fully air conditioned and clean. Our second excursions was snorkeling to the Underwater sculpture Park with First Impression snorkeling, this was an experience of a lifetime! The whole team were amazing, especially Kurl who instructed me through the whole tour. We were given a great insight into the whole process of rum distilling from start to finish! We also got the opportunity to purchase some Rivers rum at a good price.

Very good tour of a distillery that makes rum the original way using a water powered mill for crushing the sugar cane. Finish with a sample of the rum afterwards.

Fun tour, great tour guides. You get very up close to the process which is very neat to see. It’s worth a visit for sure.

Good price. Knowledgeable Tour Guide. Sample of each rum at the end included. Very hot from the rum processing and not a lot of shade- I’d recommend going in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat!
