Mapmaker’s Rum

I was privileged to have a 1 on 1 tour today with Joanne. Highly informative about the history and story behind the distillery. Highly reccomended - a must see visit on the NC500 and its a brilliant small business with a social conscience.

This was hands down the best distillery we visited on our NC500 trip. Colin was delightful and told us some very cool stories about the gin made there. He also arranged for the products we bought to be delivered for free so we didn’t have to carry them around on the rest of our trip. A definite must visit!!

I stopped here with my sister-in-law while on a tour of the northern highlands and it was hands down the highlight of the day for both of us! The owners were so accommodating to our timing and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and so enjoyable to talk with. We tasted several and both purchased a couple bottles. The tasting room was gorgeous! I highly recommend stopping here if you’re going north and trying their gin if you’re in the UK!

We were greeted by Jo and Andy we were returning empties and have now restocked ready to head back to Dalwhinnie for the summer. We will be back in the autumn. Lovely people producing fabulous spirits.

Lovely friendly place, we didn't have time to have a tour but tasted the gin in the shop (and purchased rather a lot!) The really helpful lady in the shop was so friendly and welcomed us (and our dog) warmly. She boxed up our purchases beautifully. I highly recommend a visit and will definitely do the tour next time.

Had a lovely tasting this morning with Joanna. Fantastic service and all COVID guidelines in place. Would definitely recommend as part of the NC500 Route. Lovely shop and gardens, make sure you try the coffee vodka! Would recommend booking ahead as we were lucky to get the last slot on one of the morning tastings.
