J. Gow Rum Distillery

Great rum and very friendly people. Were cycling and popped in. I had a taste of the spiced rim, excellent. Could not buy there n then as was flying. However they do shipping. Lovely spot for a picnic too, as the Italian chapel nearby and you can look across the sound.

Fabulous rum distillery located on this tiny island. Sadly tours are not available at the moment but the rum shop is open. The lady in store was very helpful and kindly let me try some rum. The spiced was the first one. A lovely smooth rum, lightly golden in colour. The store informed us nothing is added so this is the natural colour. They have merchandise such as pin badges, hats and t-shirts. A lovely range of chocolates as well as several rums and some wines. I purchased a triple pack of miniatures with different rums to try. I was given a free sticker and a cocktail booklet. There was a place to sit inside also. The setting here is stunning just next to the beach and Italian chapel is so you can do both these in addition on your visit. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful rum. The shop is currently open 10am until 4pm.

Best Rum I've ever tasted! If you like rum you'll love these if you don't, try it and you will😁! Collin is doing a fantastic job and I hope his business grows and grows.

A great rum distillery. They have several varieties which I enjoyed. If you're in Orkney, definitely visit them while you're visiting the Italian Chapel which is right next door.

I love rum so I was very happy to spot the J Gow distillery just after driving off the car ferry. I went back the next day and bought a bottle of their spiced rum (after tasting it in the shop) and it's SO GOOD!!! Honestly might be the best spiced rum I've ever tasted. I've already ordered more from the online shop four days later. Highly recommend 👌🏼 🥃 🏴‍☠️
