I have wanted to stop in at Gamblers Bay for a very long time and since I was in the area on a Saturday, we got to make it happen. Like a lot of distilleries it was in a very unassuming, off the beaten path, industrial park. They have very limited hours in fact they’re only open on Saturdays. The bartender was new. It was literally his first day. I think he did great for it being only his first day and it seemed that he was the only person there. They have a great social media presence, which I think is what lures in a lot of people. They are known for their espresso martinis. I opted for a flight and only finished two. The toasted coconut was not my favorite and it seemed a little watery. I honestly don’t remember the second one I had, but it was definitely very Italian cookie-esk and was also served with a cookie on the rim. That one was much better than the first. I did enjoy a sample of their strawberry rum. And my other half had the strawberry rum Mojito that was actually very delicious and refreshing!! Overall, it was a nice experience, not exactly what I thought it was going to be, but I wouldn’t not recommend it.
