Had such an amazing experience here! Their products are truly delicate and everything tasted so great and so smooth. Truly appreciate their expertise and passion put into their products. I highly recommend that you visit and chat with the owner(s), hear their stories and get their full flight to taste all their good stuff!

We met Viki at the bar and she is really one of a kind. Very cool person to chat with. The product are made by Greg, her partner, which are really really amazing.

Stopped here using Harvest Hosts during a trip up to Cape Breton Island. Absolutely terrific tasting flight, and bought a few bottles too. The Shield Maiden in particular is unique with a strong taste of honey. Nice view from the patio - worth a stop!

Highly recommend. Happened to come across Below the Salt on our way to Cape Breton, and was not disappointed! It is small but quaint, and their products are top shelf. The Boilermaker IPA+rum creation was very unique and very tasty. Thanks to Vicki for walking us through the history of each spirit during our tasting and for being so very kind and personable; you really made our experience one to remember!

We showed up on a day that Below the Salt Distillery was closed. Greg, the owner just happened to be there, greeted us with a smile and asked if he could help us. We got out of the car and ordered a sampling of all of his spirits. Let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint. Each was very unique. We tasted until we each found our favorite. As hard as it was to decide, we all agreed on the L’Ardois JaQ. Greg was so incredibly welcoming and friendly and we loved learning all about his distillery. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop in for another round! So worth it!
