Rum Guide to Scotland

Scotland is a wild, ancient land with dramatic Highland mountains and a cool, temperate climate. 1680 Glasgow’s Easter Sugar House became Scotland’s first known rum distillery, and rum punch clubs thrived. Rum was more popular than whisky 1in 801. Today, a craft rum revival is underway, with the first spiced rum launching in 2015 and a dozen distilleries experiment with molasses fermentation and whisky cask ageing.
