Rum Guide to Scotland

Scotland is a wild and ancient land with dramatic Highland mountains and cool, temperate climate. In 1680, Glasgow’s Easter Sugar House became Scotland’s first known rum distillery, and rum punch clubs thrived. Rum, was more popular than whisky 1801. Today, a craft rum revival is underway, with the first spiced rum launching in 2015 and a dozen distilleries experiment with molasses fermentation and whisky cask ageing.
