Vintage Spirits Distillery

This was a great experience! Alan taught our group some incredible things! The distilling process, aromatics, Utah history and geography, amongst many other things. He has a great passion for his craft and it shows! I don't normally care for gin, but this one was purely delicious. It was so much fun and Alan is one of the most endearing humans ever!

Notice how they don’t have low reviews? Speaks for its self. Me and my girls had a fabulous time over here for the tour/ tasting! Quite literally so informative. You can taste every spice and botanical that was distilled within these bottles. I will never have anything but positive things to say about Waterpocket Distillery. Such an educational and unique experience. 10/10

Booking a tour & tasting was one of the most interesting and educational experiences I've had in some time! Alan was a wealth of information on the physics, chemistry, biology, and history of what makes their product. He really could teach a Lifelong Learning class if it would take time from making their tasty product.Four of us took the tour. A perfect size group. I thought it would be interesting, but wouldn't consider myself a huge bitters or liqueurs connoisseur. After learning a little about the process, and seeing the raw ingredients that create the flavors, the tasting was SO much more meaningful and I really enjoyed all of what Waterpocket creates.Their store has product you can't get from the liquor store.Appointments advised. Make one. It's worth it!

Alan did a fantastic job with this tour. I’ve been on a couple of distillery tours, but this was by far the most informative. Alan was clearly knowledgeable and deeply passionate about his craft (each bottle has a batch number indicating how “micro” this distillery can be). Alan knows everything about spirits — we talked science, monks, and the difference between ground cinnamon and real cinnamon. My family and I had a great time learning about the history of spirits and about how aromatics are used to make the unique flavors at Waterpocket. I highly recommend the drive over to check it out.

I booked a tasting at this distillery for my boyfriends birthday. We had no expectations going into it and I can say it 100% exceed any spirit tasting experience I've had! Allen was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and engaging throughout our time there. The spirits are delicious and unique! Great to try a variety of different things and brought home several bottles. I would definitely recommend booking a tasting or tour here and buying from this local small business!

Magnificent flavors! I got this at first just because the bottle was beautiful and I loved the cork top but it is so good it’s now my absolute favorite whiskey. I found out after that it’s surprisingly made right here in Utah and to me that’s absolutely awesome. Thank you robbers roost for such a quality product. I am now a lifetime fan.
