BAYOU RUM DISTILLERY- Lacassine, LA Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Our tour guide was Gracie. She was so sweet & informative. In total between the video at the beginning, the tour, the tasting, & the gift shop, we spent about an hour & a half there. Very classy with rustic touches for the design style. The event center is gorgeous & I loved the outdoor New Orleans style courtyard. Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Parking was fairly easy, I don’t think there were more than two handicapped spots but it was not super busy so we had no issues. The entire facility inside is all flat ground, all paved concrete, wood, or brick flooring. The handicap bathroom stall in the women’s restroom was SLIGHTLY too small to shut the door with a manual wheelchair so she had to pee with the door cracked open. A caregiver would not have fit if needed. & the bar top for the tasting didn’t have a low area for wheelchair users.

We hosted a small customer event here and it was perfect. Staff was very accommodating - really big space, you could pack some people in there - huge projection screen. Nice gift store. Affordable venue, but call ahead - they are booked quite a ways out. Easy to get to from Lake Charles. Plenty of parking.

Stopped off on the way from Houston to layfette and loved the place. Unfortunately missed the tour but spent a good half hour (for 5 dollars each) sipping their range of about 6-7 rums / liquors. All facilitated by a super friendly lady (Courtney I think...). Even had the owner walk through and make an impromptu stop. Greta brand. Great location. Beautiful rum.... And the coffee liquor kicks ass.

Staff was super sweet, our tour guide was amazing. And you get to try 7 different types of rum. The coffee one is by far #1 and the second ,if you like gin like me, is the pink one. 100% recommend coming here. Plus it is beautiful!

Not an over powering boring tour. It was quick. Great to see short little plaques to read. It was interesting. It looks like a great place to hold an event. I still have to drink my rum mixed in something but the coffee was very good.

Take a tour! This place is amazing! If you're a rum fan and haven't tried Bayou Rum, you're in for a treat! We stumbled upon Bayou Rum while touring Louisiana in a Mini-T Campervan. Glad we stopped and even more glad we picked up a few bottles to take home. They say they distribute in over 40 states, but Minnesota does not seem to be one of them. Moral of the story—when in doubt, buy a souvenir!
